I'm usually up on most of the phone and email scams but if never heard of one regarding missing jury duty until they almost got me today. Just an FYI...I almost fell for this BS scam today. The sheriff's department WILL NOT call you about missing jury duty. I will not go into detail what I'd like to do to these scammers for fear that I would be arrested. Sheriff told me that they have received numerous calls regarding this scam. I got a scam message yesterday about a traffic ticket I had not paid....FICTION. I haven't gotten a ticket in 40 years. I sent a return and told em to stuff a BIG orange traffic cone up their ass. There must be thousands of those little bastards sending out stuff.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Yep getting texts also. Been told do not reply delete and report. Replying can lead them to info in the phone????? I don’t know. The toll road one is crazy. Not been through a toll rd in years.

Then I realized the number the text was from was a Philippine number....

I received a call on my cell about a month and a half ago...it showed a local number so I answered. Some dude says he was calling from Shelby Co courthouse and there has been a warrant issued for me due to me missing jury duty.
I DONT live in Shelby Co.
I played along as I like to have fun with these scam calling mf'ers...I told the caller to come and get me, he said that I was now in contempt of court, I said thats right, Im in contempt, Im not paying your fine so come and get me u scam calling bastage mf'er....he then started cussing at me, lol. I told him I want to speak to his supervisor because since he works for the court system he has no right to cuss me like that,....he then just hung up, lol

I was standing there listening and I told the guy the DA was one of my friends and the Chief deputy sheriff was my cousin and I was going to do a 3 way call so he could discuss the matter with them….he promptly hung up

They got my manager with that a while back, with me sitting here telling him it was crap. They ain’t gonna call you, they’ll just issue a warrant and pick you up for a tail light the next time they run your tag.

In my experience, the cops never call first before they come. They just show up, usually around 5 AM with a bad attitude and a warrant.
