Owned a couple of Howa bolt actions and liked them. Nothing wrong at all with Howa, however, I just bought my first Bergara (B14-ridge) and fit and finish is superb and is a better feeling gun. Haven't shot it yet, so we will see. My Howas were all excellent shooters, so I'm hoping it will be on par with them. Still have a 6.5 grendel mini action and one of the best modifications that I've made to it was to have the bolt fluted and coated with micro slick cerakote. My Howas tended to have a "zipper" type feel to the bolts when manipulated. The micro slick made all the difference, so if you go that route, it's something to consider.
