Fallow are an old world deer, their genetic makeup is very different. Muleys and whitetail are new world deer, and their genetics are very close. Hope this helps


You inspired me to look around and read several articles on the subject. Looks like the old hunters from Wilcox Co back in the 70s were wrong - the whitetail and fallow won't cross, I guess there is just a lot of variation in fallow deer, and most of us don't see enough of them to realize it. Thanks for correcting my bad guess.
