For clarification (because it’s a lot), DCNR is made up of 4 divisions (wildlife and fisheries, state lands, state parks, and marine resources), all with their own directors and asst directors. Those are all open to applicants and hired through the typical employee onboarding process. At the top, there is the commissioner and deputy commissioner of DCNR that oversee all 4 divisions and those 2 positions are governor appointed. Sounds like a hell of a lot of fluff
