Just got a notice that Gov. Ivey chose Charlanna Skaggs. All I know about her is that she is a lawyer. I did take notice of the announcement said Gov. Ivey appointed her and not the Board appointed her.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

A lawyer for Deputy Commissioner? They obviously are preparing for some things that will cause legal troubles.

Great, we know the lawyers will put wildlife first.

So lawyer Chuckie is not being replaced by lawyer Charlanna? If they are different jobs it sounds like a top heavy bureaucracy.

You have Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner, the CAB, and then the Director of DCNR, Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division.

If it has any meaning of significance ,,,,, Sharlanna attended Samford University, one of the top three conservative schools of higher learning here in Alabama.

She’s actually ok. Yall calm down. But has she ever rode the fields at night drinking beer and shooting rabbits from the truck? That should be a requirement for the job so she understands her constituents.
"Cull" is just another four letter word...

For clarification (because it’s a lot), DCNR is made up of 4 divisions (wildlife and fisheries, state lands, state parks, and marine resources), all with their own directors and asst directors. Those are all open to applicants and hired through the typical employee onboarding process. At the top, there is the commissioner and deputy commissioner of DCNR that oversee all 4 divisions and those 2 positions are governor appointed.
