Patient said he saw 15 with a hen…had to get out and help 3 of em off the side of cornfield where he got back on the tractor.

Another showed me 6 poults behind a hen just over the line in Tennessee.

There is hope!

I seen a nest with 11 eggs yesterday that the farmer had planted the field and they were a foot from getting run over. I went back today and the hen had camouflaged the nest and was sitting on it. I worried if she would come back

The 3-4 hens that were on camera daily have disappeared. The gobblers they were with are still showing up. I’m hoping they are nesting again.

Good news lately. Cuz in southwest bama said he’s seen a bunch. I’ve had 2 patients lately that both have said they have seen a nice big group of them. Rain slowing down may have them renesting/nesting plus the added benefit of a lot of cover now. I’m optimistic.

Got a pic this morning of 2 hens and 5 half grown poults. The thinning crew just moved out so maybe they just went on vacation due to the activity.

I've seen more poults this year than I've seen in many years.

I'm not seeing any. Hopefully they will start showing up. We've had a LOT of rain, but I'm hopeful.

I’ve only seen that one group. But, as I drive around the county I’m seeing more adult turkeys than I did a few years ago. For years I saw turkeys almost every week in a variety of locations then for about 5 years I rarely saw any. Especially in pastures and open fields they were absent.

Now I’m seeing more turkeys. Hopefully this is a result of more people trapping best predators and doing some prescribed fire.

I’m also seeing a fair number of pairs of quail and flushed a group of half grown quail on a property I own.
