I went from a 60HP 1973 JD 2030 which was probably the best small tractor ever made to a 7040 Kubota (70HP pre regen) open station 4wd with loader. The Kubota has been bulletproof although it seemed light in the rear end until I put water in the tires (highly recommended). This helped a lot. It rides better and not as scary with heavy loads in the bucket I still like open station tractors (no cab) for wand spraying from the seat and woods work which I do a lot of keeping the place clean and I like being in the open so I can hear and see what is going on with my implements. I also have a great Kubota dealership 10 miles away in Monroeville.
