Maintaining a tractor isn't hard most farmers did a crappy job of it for 30-40 years before their purchase finally bit the dust. LOT of good reliable machines out there on the used market that require very little upkeep and are ultra reliable. You just have to know which ones were built that way and accept you aren't going to have a cab and air but at the same time save $40-50k and a lifetime of headaches and trips to the dealer for "service" a.k.a. fixing broke plastic and electronics.
