As soon as we hit the house she would pour a hot bath with bleach and we took our turns. I don't ever remember getting ate up with chiggers if we had a clorox bath right after being in them

Itch after being beaten --- alcohol, Benadryl spray or cream - lidocain/icy hot - biofreeze- yes it's for pain, but that stuff will work on an itch from those bites.

Take a high dose of B complex vitimins before you go out in the woods. Make sure your pee smells like the bottle does when you open it, and they will leave you alone. I am out at my huntng club all the time once turkey season ends, usually in shorts and ankle socks. I rarely get a chigger bite, usually if I do, its from riding down a road with tall grass in the middle on my 4 wheeler.

Used to get ate up all summer working on my grandaddy's timber crew. He never did. That's cos his momma didn't make him take a bath every night. Grandaddy only bathed to go to church or visit a lady. He did neither often.
I think not bathing is part of the vinegar trick. Neither of the people I know who sear by it bathe regular.

In another note I collect ticks 10 times more than anyone else around me. Dang things will land on my from somewhere. Been happening for a while now. This year I’ve probably pulled 25 plus off that were stuck. Twice that caught crawling

I ain't found much of any product to ease the itchy pain of them little devils having their way, alcohol, hydro peroxide, calamine lotion, benadryl bug bite can help.
I learned my lesson a long time ago...the cost of one can is worth keeping them basages off ya. Before I go into any woods or area that has tall grass and weeds I have to go thru I'll spray a full can of Repel with 40% deet on my shoes boots ankles socks pants leg up to and above my knees,,, the whole can...it works for me time and time again. Biggest can Wally world Academy sports, Dollar General, family dollar and such has.
