Wife needs cataract surgery and we ae looking for someone close to the Clanton Al area. With that being said I know we will probably need to drive little but don't want to drive halfway across the state.

55mi away from Clanton but you’ll be hard pressed to find better docs than UAB Callahan Eye Hospital They did a great job saving my vision with laser surgery on a torn retina. Alabama Vision Center near Greystone did my cataract surgery, excellent.

Alabama Eye Center in Irondale area but they do surgery around the state in other areas. They did mine and it was great

What kind of eye surgery is she needing?
Dr. Andrew Bartlett is a great eye surgeon. I send folks up there all the time. He’s out of Bham but operates in clanton. All my patients love him and he does a beautiful cataract surgery. His father (Dr. Jimmy Bartlett) was one of my professors at UAB and one of the 3 smartest doctors I’ve ever known. He wrote the book (yes the textbook) on ocular pharmacology that was used globally to teach ODs and MDs that subject for years.
I’d let Dr. Bartlett operate on my family. He can do same day surgery in clanton. He will see you pre-op in the morning at the Eyecare Associates office there and do the surgery that afternoon at the hospital.
