I’m thinking about making some venison jerky out of some ground venison. Does anyone have a good recipe preferably a recipe without sugar.

Can you make jerky from ground deer? I thought it came from sliced meat from shoulder or hams?

I always marinate In KC Masterpiece Carribean Jerk. Does have some sugar in it though.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

1/2 bottle dales 1/2 bottle Texas Pete, little garlic salt, once you shoot it out sprinkle old bay, pepper or your favorite spice mix on top. Another good recipe is simply one whole bottle of your favorite Barbq sauce. This is to about 3-4 lbs of ground.

Tastes the same but not as salty. https://www.johnnyfleeman.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=JH-Marinade

Dales, brown sugar, and pepper overnight. Oven @180 slightly cracked. Hang the strips on toothpicks or a kabob skewer and string them over the oven rack.
Cube steak makes GREAT jerky btw.

I’m going to try jalapeño and DrPepper one day soon. I heard it was good….. The difference in the ground obviously is that your meat soaks up all of your marinade, making it more of an ingredient rather than a marinade. Tread lightly but it’s ok if it’s slightly moist, just takes longer to dry.

No fat added grind, LEM Backwoods seasoning. No marinating, just mix it up and shoot it out. Dust it with crushed cayenne pepper for added heat.
