I have some steals on compound bows on there. I've found folks that didn't know what they had, and sold cheap.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Same rules apply there as anywhere else. If it’s too cheap and too good to be true, it probably is.

I only buy from sellers rated at 98% or higher. Deals that are to good sometime are. I bought a set of spark plugs for my Tundra that were fakes. I would of never known if I didn't stumble on a Youtube video about them and how to tell. Boxes and everything looked just like Genuine Denso Plugs Branded Toyota. EBAY did get my money back for me.They were about 1/2 price from most other dealers.

Also make sure you are getting OEM parts, and not a knock off.

There's always going to be a few consumers that leave bad feedback no matter what. Even if the seller added a $100 bill in each package, they'd still bietch, so 100% good feedback isn't necessary required. But always look at price plus shipping, at least 98% good feedback, plenty of transactions and read the full description thoroughly word for word. If any of that seems out of place, find another seller. I always look at lead times also. With all that said, I've bought hundreds of items and only had one bad experience. It was resolved quickly by Ebay.

Buyers , are 100% safer than sellers on EBAY
If you’re a common sense person, you probably don’t feel you have a home in this world right now. If you’re a Christian, you know you were never meant to.

Buyers , are 100% safer than sellers on EBAY I would not agree with that position; my experience has been excellent on both sides of transactions.

Thanks for all the feedback. I've been looking and studying over some of the ads listing the injectors I'm needing and have noticed that most of them list the seller as located in China so I'm trying to stay away from those if I can and just deal with the ones that are located in the USA. I'm debating if I should get after market ones or try to get the acdelco since they are going in a truck I'm fixing up as a spare/ hunting truck so not really wanting to spend $800 on injectors so that's why I started looking at ebay.

iv'e bought 512 times off ebay. iv'e had a few claims ebay had to pay. I really prefer ebay over amazon, but lately its getting tougher to get the best prices on ebay. one time I bid on a pretty new harley davidson and won the bid for half it's value but the seller kept his word and sold it to me, that was pretty cool.

i’ve been on eBay since early on (started my account in 2001) …. here are a few tips:
1) Set price & bid 1 time at end (1 min to go) - Do NOT get caught up in the emotion of an auction and do NOT bid early … Do your homework, set a max price you will pay in your head, add the thing to your Watchlist & come back when there’s 10 mins to go in the auction … If it’s exceeded your max price, move on - if it hasn’t, submit your max price bid with less than a minute to go … If you win, great - if not, then you haven’t over-paid for it
2) Shipping gouging - I realize shipping has gone up - but it seems lately a lot of eBay sellers are charging WAY more for shipping to make up for lower prices on their product … Make SURE to check the charges for shipping & don’t overpay for it
3) On “Best Offer” listings, ask seller for their best price - it’s even easier now to communicate with a seller - when a listing says “Best Offer” send them a message & ask, “what is an offer you would accept for your item?” … this will save you a bunch of time submitting a bunch of offers that are nowhere near what the seller would accept
4) Filter Sold/Completed auctions - when you search, filter on auctions that have sold & completed … this will give you a good sense for what other folks have sold items for recently …
these days, buyers have way more protection than sellers do on eBay - IIRC if you pay with PayPal, you have 6 months to dispute a purchase - IMO that’s an insane amount of time to allow a buyer to come back & ask for their money back … it’s this reason (along with the fee structure on eBay/PayPal) that i don’t sell on eBay anymore - i don’t have 6 months to float/hold funds waiting to see if somebody’s gonna ask me for a refund … the other reason i don’t sell on eBay is shipping - i deal with (sometimes) irreplaceable antique/vintage items & i’ve been burned HARD by USPS breaking my stuff during shipping & not take responsibility for their mishandling of my product & denying my claims for a refund … y’all have all seen my rants on USPS on here over the years 🥵🤬

Bought several items in ebay... never had any issues. Read through the sellers feedback to see why it's only 94%.

It's weird to me that in 2025 people are asking if it's OK to buy stuff on eBay.
I've been buying and selling stuff on there since April of 2002.
Never really had any problems.
It's a much better place to sell stuff than Facebook Marketplace.

I agree IG; I have used it for 23 years. Just re-modeled my master bath and probably saved over $1000 on the plumbing fixtures buying most of them on eBay. And ; when I have needed assistance; you can get a live; well prepared support person on the phone in less than 2 minutes. Try talking to someone on Amazon. I even sold a turkey call for $700. It's great company.
