The director isn’t appointed so they’ll have to go through the whole process of pulling from the register, interviewing, etc.
Not much moves swiftly during that process. I have a hard time believing that this isn't a Governor appointed position. Have you got something to verify this? The director is appointed by the commissioner who is appointed by the governor.
