Was down there last week and stayed three houses from the Cut. We fish for sharks in the surf and we caught 15 during the week. We missed a couple of big ones on sting rays but didn't land them. Ever shark we caught was between 2.5' and 3' and all males. We had a ball.
Here's to champagne for my real friends and real pain for my sham friends.

We love going to SGI every fall for a week of relaxation. Always hit Lynn's Quality Seafood for oysters and Smoked Mahi Dip, Paddy's, etc. Found a new place in Carabelle last time; Mornin' Bite/Evenin' Bite; worth the short drive, best food in the area IMO. Hear they are having BAD problems with the water in Apalach?

That’s great! Have you ever smoked them on a grill before and made a dip with them? That’s my favorite way to eat them.

Its been years ago but i have a buddy that has a place in the plantation on the bay side. They had 20' center-console bay boat we fished out of. We went down to the pass between St George Preserve and St Vincents and caught a pile of sharks. Those islands are basically uninhabited as far as beach goers go, but it was scary how quick the sharks would hit after we would drop the bait in. Definiety wouldn't want to have jumped of the boat to swim around there. There house was several hundred yards to the east of the cut, we caught trout and reds in the bay and also the cut. I know certain times of year he catches big bull reds in the cut.

We have caught some 8 to 10 footers down there but this year, we couldn't keep the big ones hooked up.

I will be down here for a week with my in laws from 8/2-8/9. I’ll be looking for things to get out of the condo, lol. I don’t know much about saltwater fishing but would love to do a lot of what you did. Are there good places down there that you can buy what you need and show you what you need? Love your pics man

Love your pics man There is a small tackle shop on the island; forgot the name. They might help you out; they also rent golf carts, etc.

Survivors is the bait shop that we have used for years. They will tell you what is going on and sell you what you need, within reason.
