Thanks for the replies. I found several beds on that ridge and would like to just go in once to check those trees. I realize it may not be productive once the season gets here but there aren't really any major food sources for a good ways in all those pines so I figured it would be worth keeping an eye on.
Just remember that Persimmons are horrible, way too bitter, until after a freeze. Try one for yourself right now and see.
That’s not how persimmons work. They are sweet when ripe. Astringent up to that point. You don’t pick them off the tree. You get the ones that have fallen. You could probably break a tooth in a pear right now also.
