My wife and I like to get away for a weekend and go to Ross Bridge and use her RSA teacher discount. Eat, drink, shop, etc. etc. I saw where Shoals had it too. Looks to be walking distance from the 360 grill, which we’ve said we’d like to try. Who’s familiar with it and has opinions? Thanks in advance.

Apparently it just got updated. It’s nice. You’ll like it, especially with that price you’ll pay.

Went there a few times when the kids were younger. Has a big pool and you can walk to a few close by places. They have a bar in the hotel lobby that has good craft beer on tap and live music or at least they did about five years ago.

Since my wife and I, and your wife too I guess, are part owners, I wholeheartedly endorse you spending your money there, and anyone else that wants a getaway, go stay at one of the RSA owned resorts. The Grand at Point Clear is a great one too when you can get the discount. If anyone is wondering, RSA members get a great discount at the RSA properties if they are less than a certain percentage booked. Of course, that means going during the week and in off seasons usually, but it is a great deal if it fits your schedule.
If you go to the Shoals resort, let me know how it is. We might do that one for a few days on a get away.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Wife and I went to 360 grill for our anniversary a few years ago. It was absolutely terrible, well the food and service was. View was amazing. We didn't pay for anything but the wine. They gave us a dessert to go. Wife tried it and threw it away also. I hope your experience is better

Went there a few years back. It was nice. Unlike Longshot, our experience at the 360 restaurant was great. We enjoyed that area and especially liked the tours of the music studios. We prefer Ross Bridge though. I think there is Highlands church next door if you choose to attend a service.

Ross Bridge has a new adult only pool and huge bar area with TVs...we'll be there this weekend.

My wife and I did a weekend getaway at Ross Bridge one time but the highlight of the weekend was that our room had a balcony overlooking the pool area. There was a wedding reception at the pool with live music that was good. We just sat on the balcony and enjoyed the music and watching the drunken partiers. Entertainment that was better than anything you could pay to see. We saw a couple begin their life together and some that probably ended their lives together that night.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Our favorite thing to do is make friends with the bartender, sit outside on the balcony (right outside the bar) eating pizza and appetizers. Ross Bridge is great but we want a change of scenery, I think we’ll enjoy shoals area for a change. It’s nice to eat, drink, and walk to the room! 😅

Room with a spa package at shoals is only 229.00 a night. Can’t beat that.

Our experience with the 360 Grill was that the view and atmosphere were very good; the food was reasonably good but quite expensive and served in small portions. My wife who never eats that much at restaurants joked when left that we needed to stop at McDonald's to get some additional supper after spending $145 for the two of us at 360 Grill.

That’s the thing about gourmet, it’s more about the experience of the entire meal The Shoals has struggled to maintain any fine dining eateries except for maybe George’s. Vangies From the early 90s was the first one I knew of. Dales and George’s were where it was at for steakhouses. There’s a few in downtown Florence (Odette’s) now but 360 Grille is on another level. When it first opened I took the food pics and a fun day we had. Excellent meals the chef prepared. The manager was another photogs daughter and he handed it off to me. They’ve revamped the menu and I’d like to go but never make it. I know the manager now and she really pushed for exceptional plates. Everything I’ve seen on FB looks great and prepared perfectly. Several white cloth restaurants have come and gone, had plenty of money behind them but just not enough of a customer base here. The running joke in the shoals for as long as I can recall. If an eatery doesn’t have great chicken fingers on the menu, they won’t make it here Fine dining refers to a type of dining experience that prioritizes high-quality food, a sophisticated atmosphere, and attentive service. It's more than just a meal; it's a carefully curated experience designed to be memorable. “Broadly speaking, I think fine dining is distinguished by high quality, precise execution in every detail of the experience - food (taste, texture, presentation), wine, service, environment, tableware, etc”, a user on Reddit's r/finedining community says. “FINE is much “finer” than upscale . . . the food and drink in addition to what they are served on, the training of the staff and the elegance of the entire dining room, the quality of their wine list — and you are expected to rise to their level with proper dress and manners”, a user on Quora says.

Thanks guys, keep em coming. We’ve booked for right after the 4th. A river view room was exactly 3 x the cost of the RSA room, So we’ll be staring at the parking lot most likely 😜 I think the 360 restaurant is out of our league. My wife is pretty thrifty and likes traditional foods. She’s looked over the menu and poo poo’d the whole thing… I’d like to try it, but we rarely throw money at things.
