Hard to believe something like this would be going on in guntersville and Scottsboro

Just found out there have been a hand full of older folks protesting, at the planned spot for Sat in Starkville, for quite some time now and are No Kingers. The person telling me called them “the gray hairs”, so I’m assuming older, liberal retirees from the college. Same time, noon-1:30, but not sure of how often they protest.

Here's the thing...

If we would all quit hiring illegals, quit eating at their restaurants, and quit supporting them, then they would all go away by themselves.

Once you travel, even casually, through places like Mexico, Columbia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, etc... and see how the common folks live, it's no wonder why so many want to get here any way they can. Yes, there are beautiful places in those countries, mostly for tourist, but the vast majority of those places are complete shit holes compared to the US.

I wish we could just fix immigration issue once and for all. Make it a doable process, that builds patriotism and assimilation, but still allowing people to retain their unique culture that keeps America the great melting pot that it has always been.

There was a time that Irish, Italians, Greeks, Poles, Jews, etc... were all hated and discriminated when they came to America. It's simply the natural tribal nature of people to be wary of "outsiders." It takes generations to overcome and it requires the people who got here first and the new people who are just getting here to both bend a little and adapt.

The fact of the matter is: Based on demographics and current birth rates, the United States is simply not sustainable without immigration. Countries like Russia and China are in a world of hurt, because their populations are shrinking and nobody want to immigrate there, so there is a strong possibility that they will never recover. Places like Japan and Italy have virtual ghost towns, because of population decline.

We need immigration, but it needs to be done the "right" way.
