We did not really have any savings for our kids college. Hell, through most of the time they were growing up we were just trying to pay the bills and put food on the table. Thankfully the one who decided to go got a full scholarship to Auburn. My youngest girl just graduated and is going to esthetician school. That cost is 1400/month for 9 months. We will pay that out of pocket. My son is in the work force. If you have the ability to save for your kids college, that is awesome. I do think that college can be a bad investment at times depending on the degree you are pursuing.
