I’ve been leasing a tract right on the Fayette
/Walker county line for the past few years. No one bids on it since it’s land locked but we own the property that has the access. Curious to see if anyone out bid us without having access. I submitted an absentee bid and that was the highest, but won’t know until later this week if I stay the high bidder. I bet someone beat my bid but has no access to the property. This happened last go around with a couple of guys from Birmingham asking for a key to our gate to get access to the state property. Tell them no problem the key will cost ya a permit. May be the best corn feeding hunters around.
