Most of these tracts are owned by different state departments (education, mental health, etc.) State Lands Division is responsible for the leasing assignments of these tracts. Not the habitat management or infrastructure. They aren’t suitable for WMAs or public access because of the small acreages and usually they have absolutely terrible access. They go back up for lease renewals every 5 years.
