Serious question, where is there a forest that has been destroyed by acid rain? Most have recovered now, but there was a time when quite a few places in the Smokies were threatened. I thought that acid rain/too much auto exhaust killing trees in GSMNP was debunked . I remember a report came out that foresters determined the timber had reached full maturity and was dying naturally .
