Let the rain stop. My garden needs dry days now. When I put it out I had to water a couple of afternoons. That was it I need a dry week. 2 1/4” rain yesterday

The water table in my yard is now above the soil. IF it even comes a light sprinkle water starts to puddle, but hey , my brother and I drove past some corn fields over in Baldwin county yesterday and let me tell you they're looking good and green and the corn stalks are fat..... ought to be some real good Silver Queen and Silver King corn soon... Oh man, the deer should be getting fat and sassy about now too.

I'm that guy that was working 6 days a week all through prime planting time this year. Now I'm hoping for a few days without rain so I can get the garden in. Long enough to till it one more time and it not be clumpy mud balls when I do. Ground is sitting there ready but just walking through it the last few weeks means mud going over the tops of my sneakers.

Mobile/Tensaw Delta been flooded forever seems like. Hard to go fishing, when it's stays like that. Been a weird year down here for sure.

It’s gotta stop raining at some point. I haven’t planted a single acre because it’s too wet. I’ve helped plant some acres in areas with less moisture, but we haven’t had an opportunity to plant yet. Latest I’ve ever planted I guess. It’ll probably go dry soon as I get seed in the ground.

Mid October we will be begging for a rain shower.

I have planted some dove fields for folks. Corn is doing good sunflowers are iffy. Millet if anything drowns out

Ive managed everything somehow. Ill have to replant 3 rows of crn in our garden that got flooded out. Other than that, ive managed to keep working and farming. Our peaches are really liking the rain. As long as they get some sunshine with the rain, theyre good

My entire garden is in raised beds or bags. I've found with the bags, not as much rain actually makes it into the bag as you'd think and once the soil absorbs what it can hold, the rest runs out of the bag and is gone. The bags will dry out relatively quickly. Unless it's continuous rain for days at a time, I water in between. At least every other day. I water until I see it exiting the bag then stop. The raised beds hold a lot more water and require less watering. They also are big enough to get a benefit from a short rainfall.

Sadly we cannot go back with beans. We burned at planting specifically for corn. Killed any chance at beans on that ground were late with corn so…………

Guys with corn that’s a few months old now are loving it in those drained fields.

It's my first year planting, millet, soy, clover, and switch grass in Pickens County. Everything got planted on April 13th. It didn't rain for 9 days, and I started to worry. I'm out of state until July, but the rain can't be hurting my early planting.

Well it's helped my black berry bushes that i moved s couple months ago and a 15ft Shumard Oak tree I just moved from Morgan Wilson Park in Decatur

That's right , too much rain early compounds if you get drought conditions later because the root system isn't deep. Ours around here looks great now , you can just about see it growing. But if we bad get dry when it's makin' it'll be all stalk and no ears.
