Man you have been on this site 20 years. Get off your ass and fry some fish for your sister. Coleslaw. Hush puppies. Call whild bill. lol
Fair point. However, she wanted it as her first meal back in the states today and I didn't have the time for the fish and all the sides ahe was expecting 🤣

However I am smoking all her favorites plus all the trimmings over the weekend. Butt, ribs, skillet corn, bbq beans, and pig shots.

So I gave her a choice of local places that do catfish well or go to an old school fish place. She wanted old school like we had back in the Sip. Ark in Riverside. Just got home from a really good meal. Fish was solid.

Yup. Last time I went there was 2-1/2 years ago. Felt like I was on the set of a Tarzan movie.

Batters Up is outside catering only now. They stopped the walk in and sit down a year or two ago.

Been closed for years, but the best catfish I've had in an Alabama restaurant was at The Cottonpatch in Eutaw.

It was well-known for its fried chicken, but their fried catfish was off the charts great.

The Catfish House in Millbrook is good and we go there a lot. I’ve eaten good catfish at Moe’s BBQ and Full Moon as suggested earlier.

Truman's outside of Wetumpka, Santuck. Just a hole in the wall, dump, but food is great. There used to be a catfish place outside of Clanton that was really good, it wasn't in clanton, out on one of the roads.

my favorite place ever to eat. I sure wish someone had kept it going. Those onion rings were the best also. I think about it every time I drive by on the interstate

Top Hat BBQ in Blount Springs has some solid catfish. Johnny's BBQ in Cullman ain't bad either.
We used to hit Ezell's a good bit when hunting down that way. Prolly been a decade since I've been there. Is it still open?
