I have an 04 Honda Rancher 350 ES 4x4. So I know there is not a reserve tank on my ATV but my question is, how low should the fuel get before you need to switch the petcock to from ON to RES? Mine starts to sputter and die with about 1/3 tank left. I switch to reserve and it runs great. It seems like it would be lower before it starts to lose fuel.

Also, here’s something I learned today. You need to clean and purge your spark arrester from time to time. I did that today (1st time ever to my knowledge) and probably had a teaspoon or more of soot come out. YouTube has a video of how to do it.

You answered your own question. You can still see gas in the tank when you have to switch to reserve. ALWAYS remember to put the valve no on run after fueling up. If it dies on reserve you walk or push. Don’t ask me how I know.
