Read an interesting story about guys shed hunting and killing bucks near where the sheds were found.

One of my bigger bucks was really ran down he shed Friday night and I was able to find one of his. I wish I could find the other one and I wouldn’t ever worry about killing him. He’s five years old this year . He looked to have gotten hit by a car or shot this year so I’m hoping he doesn’t throw a screwed up horn on one side this year.Hes been a ten point the past three years I’m hoping he will be another one this year [Linked Image]img]https://i.imgur.com/blYlorf.jpeg[/img][Linked Image]

Yes Sir - I hope you get a crack at him next year. My son and I used to shed hunt before turkey season and found some decent ones, but nothing like that.

Probably so , the camera angle makes it look higher off the ground than 12in.

That's pretty typical in areas the deer don't get pushed around by inclement weather and deep snow. Mountain deer often drop a long way from their normal ranges if it's a rough winter.
With winters like this past one up here, I think a lot of them shed in their core areas.
