Ft. Payne chert knife. That style dates to about 2500BC +/- 1500 years Thats some of the better grade material. Common names for it are Gary or Savannah River, but its probably the most common type there is. Thats one of the better ones, they usually look rough.

Yes sir right out front. It was right next to some roses I planted a few years ago. Figure I dug it up then. Only thing I've found is a bunch of white flakes.
