#1 when around immediate family and # 3 when around acquaintances. I like to use #1 because my grandpa always let us know when to break from the field and eat dinner. You couldn't buy a meal like those today, no matter how much money you laid down. My grandma would always leave about 45 minutes ahead of everyone else. Even with her leaving to prepare dinner, I think she still got just as much field work done whether in the watermelon fields, "small" 5 acre garden or hayfield, her and their 4 daughters could hold their own short of throwing square bales once they were stacked to a certain height. They worked like government mules.
