Funny how that works out fast with consumables that have a short shelf life. Milk does the same thing but its price is spread across more products than eggs and has more different kinds of producers.

They actually never increased in price at the Costco where I shop. Couple of visits I had to get my second choice, but the prices stayed stable here.

There were 6-8 pallets of eggs, but still a limit of 3 egg items per customer. They didn't institute that until some idots started trying to leave with flatbed carts full.

And during China flu they never ran out of anything. Saw a ol gal in Publix back then complaining they were out of TP. Told pig had some she just snarled and said she wouldn't set a foot in that nasty place. Below her standing I suppose. I always get meat there. Best around.

Yeah, I just paid $8 for a dozen in Evergreen pig wig. I don't really use that many eggs so increase never did really bother me. Seems like the biggest impact was on restaurants/bakeries that go thru a ton of eggs.

Folks getting excited over eggs dropping below $5.00 a dozen. It hasn't been but a few months ago they were under $2.00 a dozen. This same thing happened last year. We are being "conditioned" to not noticing higher prices.

I am absolutely positive all of us with home grown fresh eggs chuckle at what folk consider to be โ€œhigh egg pricesโ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ

You should see how much they cost when you factor in the materials for a good coup, keep varmints away, and extra feed.

Kinda like deermeat is $300 per pound ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Donโ€™t forget about expensive fish ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚
