There should be a really old cemetery or two around Guntersville , it was settled around 1785. There's some really old ones around Woodville , as it's one of the older settlements in NA that's not along the Tennessee River. Some of my kin settled in what is now Woodville well before Alabama got it's statehood.


I wonder how many graves that were old enough to only marked with a stone or wooden cross are underneath the backwaters of Lake Guntersville now.
