Always liked Catahoula, black mouth cur, and Plott hounds.
This one is a really god looking dog. Not sure what they told you, but he will be on the larger side. Feet don't lie, and I figure he will top out over 70 lbs, if not bigger.
My favorite smaller dogs are rat terriers and Jack Russell terriers.

Yep, he is Catahoula. I couldn't get over the straight line down his face. We used to call that being two faced. Pretty dog!
