I worked with some free holiness people back in the seventies. A girl sinned that had the Holy Ghost. They told her she was doomed and she committed suicide. I don't honestly know who had the bigger sin

Doesnt matter what you or I think. Only matters what the bible says.

Luke 16:18 is pretty clear. Regardless of where you think you’re at you would be continuing in a willful sin.

I worked with some free holiness people back in the seventies. A girl sinned that had the Holy Ghost. They told her she was doomed and she committed suicide. I don't honestly know who had the bigger sin this is another example of the destuction of the false gospel of lordship salvation. God manifest in the flesh Jesus christ fullfilled the law perfectly and was the only one who could.james says that if u offend in one point of the law u are guilty of all of it,but God Himself fullfilled it and was the lamb without blemish. when He rose Himself from the dead the old covenant was done away with and we are now under Grace. rom 3:28 therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. rom 4:5 But to him that worked not but BELIEVETH ON HIM that justified the ungodly his FAITH is counted for righteousness. Moses represented the law that's why he could not lead them into the promised land we are not saved by law keeping we are saved by Grace through Faith. the false prophets Jesus described in matt 7:22 were TRUSTING in thier WORKS and had not done the will of God that john 6 40 says is to BELIEVE ON JESUS CHRIST. lordship salvation teaches people to trust in thier BEHAVIOR instead of TUSTING IN THE SAVIOR. The sin debt was paid in full on calvary. all we have do do to be saved is to TRUST HIM AND WHAT HE DID FOR US. rom 5:1-2 therefore being JUSTIFIED by FAITH we have PEACE WITH GOD through Jesus Christ. by whom also we have access BY FAITH into this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. we receive the FREE GIFT of eternal life by faith.. the access point is faith ALONE. lordship salvation is the works based religion of Cain and cannot save. it is a damnable HERASY.

Do you think that Mark 10;12 and Mathew 5;32 have no merit? Ridgestalker

The only implication for someone living in adultry, aka being married more than once(unless your spouse was unfaithful, which God himself said) is that they are not qualified to be deacons or bishops(pastors). Other than that, they are just like every other human on earth, which ALL sin every day, every one of us. Some even argue "one wife at a time" was what the qualifications was talking about, which is pretty easy to prove wrong. Moses said you could divorce with a written paper, same way we do it today. Jesus rebutted that when he said Moses made that up, it wasnt that way from the beginning. Then theres the scripture that says no man can tear them asunder, so that judge who signed your divorce papers to finalize them just didnt have the authority to do so, according to the bible. All that is pretty clear. Jesus gave those an out whos spouse is unfaithful, as far as adultry goes. I know its pretty tough, but its what the bible says. On a positive note, God will forgive us and Jesus still died for us, while we were yet sinners. And i personally believe one woman for one man was Gods plan. Anyfhing other than that will cause problems. Ive seen that to be true all my life

Curiosity question here....... Do y'all think a "married" homosexual couple is committing sin? Is it a sin that would condemn them? If they say they're sorry and "repent" but stay in their homosexual relationship, will they be ok?
The true mark of a man is not how he conducts himself during times of prosperity, but how he conducts himself during times of adversity.

Jwalker i agree with your post. If she commits adultery and leaves you cant hold her in the marriage. When Charles Spurgeon first met D L Moody he was smoking a cigar.. Moody asked him how a man of God could be smoking a cigar. Spurgeon looked at him and said the same way you can be a man of God and be that fat. I don't find one human in the bible that is perfect. No man is an authority on another man's sins. Mathew 7: 15-20 gives you information that explains a few things.

before God rose Himself from the dead they were still under the old covenant. gal 3:22 but the scripture hath concluded ALL under sin that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believeth.verse 24 says...wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ THAT WE MIGHT BE JUSTIFIED BY FAITH. Jesus (God) Christ said if u look at a woman with lust you have committed adultery with her in your heart. the point He was making is we are sinners and The messiah was here to fix what Adam messed up. gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse FOR US.
Quit TRUSTING in your filthy rags of works and TRUST in what HE DID FOR US. the law cannot save you. only the shed blood of Jesus Christ and HIS resurrection can give you eternal life.
TRUST HIM.

Luke 16:18 is pretty clear. Regardless of where you think you’re at you would be continuing in a willful sin. Yep it is very clear Any person that divorces their spouse without any justification causes them to be an adulterer

I understood you to say that everybody that had been married twice was living in adultery with no exceptions. If I misunderstood I apologize I witnessed to a divorced guy last week that was worried about this, his wife wanted the divorce i tried to give him verses to study, He had already been wounded by a legalistic Christian that was more worried about pointing out someone's sin than rescuing their soul
