They may hold a slight advantage at dusk/dawn but that's about the extent of it at the distances we are typically using them here in the South. And when you make it out to Yellowstone to ride through the park a small spotting scope you can use out the car window is a lot better still but not as convenient and easy as Binos.

Yea... I have a pair of Swaros 10x42. It's a lifetime purchase. I'd go with the Leica 10x42 or some Meoptas... spending 2x that $$ in today's market... I am not sure that's necessary. Get'em if you want them nice optics are "nice".



don't go trying to bring logic to Aldeer... next we'll have to start telling people they don't need a 14x scope to shoot a deer at 120 yards out of a box blind, haha! In all seriousness, this is a very true statement, but I think there a pretty good sized segment of hunters that do enough traveling to hunt that can justify spending the money on a nice pair of bino's. I really appreciate using them when I hunt or when I'm shooting TAC, but I cant imagine not having them when I'm spending hours a day glassing for animals, with my old Nikons I'd be cross eyed after about 20 minutes of glassing, I can glass all day with the Zeiss no problem.
