I don't mind giving money to Ukraine to help defeat Putin as I believe it is imperative that he be stopped now because if he succeeds he will move on and won't stop until he rebuilds the old Soviet Empire. I truly don't think the thought of WWIII is a deterrent to him. The only thing that Putin fears is losing and being embarrassed. Now, having said that, I insist on full accounting for every penny and bullet we send over there. I also agree wholeheartedly that since Europe has more to lose than we do, they should bear the brunt of financing the Z and Putin war.
You're in the minority. Most of us are tired of giving money to anyone. Much less a foreign war that we have no business being in. If Europe doesn't want a war, or if they do, then they need to get off their collective arses and handle it. I'm tired of the US being the world police.
With that said, one good thing did come out of the war. The US demonstrated on the world stage that we can dominate Russia, supposedly the second most powerful military in the world. In every single aspect of that war, our tactics and hardware beat theirs. Without exception. The ruin that caused Russia may never be repaired. So it's not like Russia came out smelling like roses. They didn't. They've been ruined. Everyone knows their military is shit. Their equipment is shit. Their tactics are shit. Other than a little bit of land, I don't see how anyone can say Russia won. Not by a long shot. Trump is telling Z the war stops or we bounce. He's told Russia they stop or we double down. Regardless, the war stops.
