Don't slow down trump, we don't need all this federal junk. trump said last presidency that we would win so much that we would complain about winning and he was right. For a while people were complaining that there wasn't enough people to fill the jobs.

Pretty sure most of these first cuts were of essentially everyone that was still in their probationary period ie like less than 3 years or something like that. I'm sure there are exceptions, but those were the easy, low hanging fruit that could easily be fired.

Many of which, I’d assume were also jobs with those frivolous degrees that drove the universities frivolous degree programs that drove student loans and cost thru the roof!!!! Who’s zooming who?

I support numerous offices around the country. It doesn't matter where my computer sits whether at home or Redstone. MS Teams is just like having a cubicle next to them.

Son works in Federal government for Redstone. Leadership above him sent him a list of probationary employees and asked who he wanted to let go. So at least in his area, there is discretion as to who gets fired and who they want to keep. This is how it should be done and I am guessing this is probably how it is actually being done around the country.

Correct but is sounds a lot better and more draconian if you say they are arbitrarily firing critical people without even knowing what they do or what their job is.

FWIW Air Force civilians were told not to respond to the 'tell me what you did' email. Not sure if has been mentioned here or not.
Been here long enough to go from "bring 'da pain" to " bring 'da pain meds.

I’d say most jobs already did monthly or weekly reports. So what’s the deal with a weekly update of what you did. I know folks hate to told what to do………….but he’s the boss.

Well, they are worried if they list what they do that “foreign actors” will intercept the data.
Guys, it’s all a scam. Are we really in spy mode so much that no one can see the reciepts of what we pay people to do?
If Trump keeps pushing DOD they won’t miss next time. Watch and see.

Musk said alot of them dont even check their emails, which i assume is their way of communicating. Hard to do what your told if you dont even check your emails. He also believes alot of govt employees dont do anything, therefore are not needed. This would be a way to judge that.

It's crazy that people receiving tax payer funds are required to actually justify why they are getting those funds, right? I wish Trump wouldn't move so fast. We need a study to see if we really need to know who's receiving our tax money and what they are doing to warrant that money. Then after the study we can do another study to see if that study shed any light on why we needed the first study. Yesterday I heard Trump say he believes there are 1000s of people getting paid that don't actually work for the government which is why they are asking for the responses but I don't think Trump understands those people that don't actually work there really need the check. People are losing jobs they don't even have! We have to study this!!!!
Weak men create hard times.
Hard times create good men.
Good men create good times.
Good times create weak men.
This country is full of weak men and the democrats definitely don't have a monopoly on weak men. I hope Trump keeps the bitches on both sides whining and crying about taking a flame thrower to the waste.

Two points here....1) everyone has been crying about no studies being done, just broad sweeping firings. Well, this email is about the simplest study one could do. Did you perform a task last week, if so tell me what you did. Now people are crying about that. 2) alot of those crying about what is going on say Musk isnt their boss, they dont have to report to him. Well, if you work for our govt, the president is the "big boss", there is no one besides God who is above the president. It appears Elon Musk is Trumps right hand man as far as dealing with work and employees, so yeah, hes kinda their #2 boss.

If a full blown/typical government study was done we would be 10 years into the future from where we are now and possibly back under democrat control. And remember, the democrats will never want less control over us than they had the last time. Never.

“Good people” have lost jobs at every non-government company I’ve ever worked. When expenses exceed revenue then something has to give. Government just been kicking the can down the road for far too long and now there’s no easy way to do it.

Jesse Waters got wobbly. He wants to use preferences. NOT ! His downtrodden buddy has a 20 yr Mil. pension w/ healthcare, and a job at the Pentagon. I'm not sure this was a good example. https://x.com/JesseBWatters/status/1892383766611427447?

Something I haven't heard talked about is the fact that many of the the job positions of the probationary folks getting let go are tied to the probationary person. Basically, when the person is let go, that job position is also gone and won't be funded again.
By eliminating the positions of folks retiring or fired, this will cut government job numbers quickly.
This should save more money.
