My friend is a VA doc and he is getting ready to retire this summer but hadn't submitted his paperwork yet. He wanted to take the government offer to retire early but was told the VA was not included in this offer and he was ineligible due to the VA being short staffed already.
Only firings I have seen have been with folks who were hired and still on probation. The lies and misinformation being spread about what's happening isn't just coming from the left. There are plenty of Republicans who've fallen to the narrative and are repeating their talking points. It seems no matter how much good is being done that there will always be a segment of Republicans who can't stand to see things cut no matter how bad it needs to happen.
