Lol, once again, your logic escapes me, and you have at best, misrepresented my position. You have at worst, told a blatant lie. I have always said that I didn't think we could kill enough gobblers to effect reproduction under the CURRENT REGULATIONS. There is no way you could have read my posts all these years without understanding that. The primary part of those regulations are no baiting and one gobbler a day. I have always supported those regulations 100%, and it's only with both of them in force that I have made those statements. You, on the other hand, have advocated being able to bait and kill the entire season limit in one day. Even when the limit was 5, you wanted to be able to kill them all over bait in one day, always using the excuse that it wouldn't matter as long as you didn't exceed the season limit. As I have said, that logic doesn't work because no dcnr anywhere sets the limit expecting everyone to get a limit. I could write a long essay explaining how you and one of your buddies could wipe out every gobbler in an area in opening morning by shooting them in your corn trench, but you don't like to read or write more than 2 sentences at a time, so I will just say in the nicest way that I can that your position is nonsense, and everyone on here knows it. It would be funny if it weren’t so sad how you’re trying to change your old opinion. You use to go on and on about how you can’t kill enough gobblers in the Spring to effect the population. My position was always that you could. You would always like to beat that drum and come on here and say to anyone that had a different opinion, oh you think gobblers help raise the poults? So, I posed the question about why can’t you kill the limit in one day. You would always talk out of both sides of your mouth, but ultimately came back to the you can’t kill enough gobblers in the Spring to matter. Operating under your opinion that you can’t kill enough gobblers in the Spring to effect the population, I posed another question. Why not baiting during turkey season? Outside of feelings and emotions, of course. It was all for the discussion, sake. But all that seems to be posted is feelings and emotion and your changed opinion. Since there’s been nothing brought forth to counter the question, then I guess nothing will. Y’all have a good turkey season. [/quote] Oh well, I guess we just don't like each other's opinions on turkeys. Good luck with your season too!

Sorry to bring up an old post Fred, but .....
We have decoys (not the first 10 days), we now have COW decoys (law says turkey decoys, not cows in the first 10 days), we have TSS shells that turns a little ordinary .410 into a bonified 40 yard killer and a 12 gauge into 70-80 yards, we have great camo, fantastic call makers, you need bait too?
I think Will is needing the bait to help his videos, plain and simple. He isn't getting enough clicks anymore, too many other youtube stars taking his thunder. He and old Cuz got too much grey in those beards, these new folks want the busty blondes and thick bearded wanna country stars.
Do any of you think Will is actually trying to help your average hunter, do you? You think he is trying to help the sport?
Just go on let us have a pile of corn in a hole, climb up in a ladder stand/box blind on stilts, and just "kill" turkeys. Just like a bunch of democrats. "I can't kill as many turkeys as you, it's not fair. You have to make it fair for me too."

Most turkeys are easy to kill. Keeping a good flock is the hard part. I would have no problem with baiting if we could have trigger restraint. Closing the spring turkey season would be one of the best options to bring back turkeys in some areas. Turkeys gobble so loud they can be heard for a 1/2 mile or more on a quiet morning. If we could just do away with the poachers or those who try to shoot every turkey, baiting woud have little impact. You would think if folks only here two gobblers in two months they would have sense enough to realize we need those and a half dozen hens or more to keep the population going. I have seen folks with a deer hunting addiction, but turkey hunters can be another step up. I use to fish an area and can remember the last gobbler sound for five years in that area of woods. Would have been no problem to have shot that last one. People will go crazy over deer and turkeys.

I 100% agree with PCP..... I agree. I respect his point of view and knowledge. Between PCP and Brock your state would be in good hands if those 2 were in charge.
