My best buddy growing up bought at 270 weatherby mag when he graduated from auburn in 1988 and has killed over 200 with it and no telling how many coyotes and bobcats and dogs with it but has only lost 3. But the weatherby 270 is a different breed from a regular 270. He moved to Oxford Mississippi in 93 and hunts over there now and I miss hunting with him. We duck hunt and dove hunt together once a year now.
