Saying goodbye to a awesome dog is real tough. Sorry for your loss…. This. Hate it for you and your family. We had to put Buddy down less than two weeks ago. First week was a lot of hurting, but also realizing that was the best thing we could have done for him. This second week has gotten a little easier, and I’m sure it will continue to get better. Hold on to all those great memories.

My sympathies. I've had a couple of dogs that helped raise my children along with me and my wife. It's tough on everyone when their time comes.

A good dog is something that happens very rarely in a persons life. They are deeply special, without any other way to describe it.
We have one now, that is going on seven years old & I’d rather be around him than most people I know.
I can understand the void that is in your life & heart right now. Sorry for your loss.

Losing a pet hurts beyond words. We surely don't deserve the unconditional love that a dog gives us. I'm sorry that y'all have this to deal with and I've been there more times than I want to reflect on. Just remember the fun and funny times as I believe that's what our dogs would want us to do.

I think I read it on here a few years ago and it’s very true, the price of a good dog is a broken heart. Mine has been gone almost three years and reading a post like this reminds me of how hard it is.

Sorry for your family having to go through this. I’ve always been told that dogs give us our best days but also give us our worst. I sure wish the good ones lived as long as we do. September of 22 I had to say goodbye to mine that raised my girls and retrieved over 4000 ducks and geese and no telling how many doves. I grieved for her more than I did my father when he died. It gets better every day now but when your ready for another one pm me and I will be happy to help you find one with all the good health certificates for another golden or lab. Again I’m sorry for your loss
