Any ideas on how to keep bugs/worms/caterpillars etc out of a pool? All new to me. May just come with the territory but wanted to see what aldeerians have to say.

We get them in certain seasons. Others not so much. I run the robotic vacuum daily, every morning. That keeps them cleaned up pretty well but I do put out bug granuals through the yard too to keep down on them.

When the soil saturates they come out and crawl. Part of it if you have earthworms

I was thinking that too! On the bright side, if all you got is bugs and worms in the pool, be happy. It could be worse.

I hate making a good first impression. There’s no way I can keep that shit up.

Wait until the flying ants a couple times a year.

Just keep your pool skimmer cleaned out at all times less you cover it during winter and fall.... check it frequently,, especially if its swimming season.... I kept the polaris in the pool most times and ran it every day.... atmospheric fallout is a nuisance too... use the skimmer net on the aluminum pole and scoop us all that surface mess often..it settles to the bottom and adds to the sedimentation...... bees and wasps love swimming pools.

Always check for this first, but Tell the family don't suck in some pool water in their mouths and play like a water fountain.... you're going to find a rat or mouse snake or frog in the skimmer soon enough if you haven't already... that'll turn em green in the face...

Get a Betta for surface cleaning and a dolphin for bottom cleaning. Best money I ever spent.
