Understand the desire for an accurate rifle but for 200 yards there are a lot of options about any rifle will be accurate enough for 200 yard shooting. I might get a classic or even an autoloader.
Like a Savage 99 or something cool in .308. Old Tang Safety Ruger 77 or.......?
Would NOT buy a junky new gun, Savage, Tikka, etc. Would shoot good but you'd have nothing special IMO. They are all cheap.
I'd get a Kimber or something like that if I had to have a bolt gun in .308. Savage and Tikka junk? You need to take your meds old man!! 2 of the best shooting rifles right out of the box made.
It's hard to kiss the lips at night that chews your a$$ all day long.
