Once again, whoever runs the AWFF social media thinks we're all stupid.....this time, joking about writing people tickets. They also continue to have their social media pages set to where the general public cannot comment on posts, which seems to be a constitutional no-no, since they're acting as the official social media for a government agency. Still waiting on someone to take that one to court....

Usually, whoever does the social media posting is bottom level employee; probably not long out of college. Doesn't take a lot of phone calls to make them feel a little heat.

I thought it was pretty funny and probably accurate for a lot of folks. Seeing Mr green jeans next to your truck isn’t much different than spotting a patrol car in the median on 65 and double checking that you are at least slightly under 80mph.

Y'all need to lighten up. If Trophy Bucks of Alabama had created and posted that, it would be funny.

There are approximately 1.2 million words in the english language, but I'm not sure I could string enough of them together to accurately convey how much I hate them. They are smug, condescending jackasses. They also routinely violate the 1st Amendment by, as an official government agency page, limiting who can comment on/interact with their posts. They have also held live Q&A's in the past, but blocked and deleted any comments from the general public that were even remotely critical of them or questioned their decisions.

Why do they refuse to livestream advisory board meetings? Auburn folks were willing last year when the meeting was there, but dcnr refused to do it.

Even a recorded video of the meeting would be a nice addition to their website.

Nope. They won’t allow anyone post anything on the WFF page except a couple Montgomery folks. They aren’t lower level.

I've always wondered if it was Chucky himself.....a lot of the arrogant, condescending crap they post seems like it would be perfectly on-brand from him...

The dcnr lawyer Skaggs claimed it was Facebook doing it on their FB page when I asked about the legality of it. I think we know better.

The dcnr page itself ain't censored like that. Just WFF page.

It's not an "official" government page, it's FACEBOOK page used by the state. No ones rights are being violated, the constitution doesn't apply to social media and it's a JOKE lol. Pages I moderate on FB have specific settings to where
specific words cannot be used to prevent spam and unwanted comments, no ones rights are being violated and to be a member specific requirements are must be met.

That's BS. I remember the day it happened. They were doing a Facebook Live online Q&A. That obnoxious blonde chick they have was hosting it along with a couple of others. They were asking people to ask questions in the comments. Me and a couple others here (along with several other people) were questioning some of their decisions and being critical of them (not in a rude or disrespectful way, mind you). They literally deleted our questions and pretended they were never posted. So we'd repost them, only to have them deleted again. Later, I and a few others commented in a post asking why our questions were removed from the Live Q&A. They deleted those posts and then blocked it to where the general public could no longer comment on their posts at all, because they were receiving so much criticism.

You are confusing Facebook "groups" vs Facebook "pages". The USSC has ruled that a social media page run by a government agency IS considered to be an "official" government page, and cannot block/censor the public from commenting on it.

"The First Amendment, which protects freedom of speech, generally prohibits government employees from censoring public comments or blocking access to a social media account that offers official communications."

Government agency posting a joke about writing tickets at the public's expense is never a good idea!!

If they are going to joke it should be at their expense....this is really basic stuff!!

They should issue a public apology and reprimand the idiot that thought this was OK to post!

Every gov enforce agency turns into they have to create problems to justify their jobs.

Someone needs to bring this to the attention of the Walker County Sherriff's page on Facebook.

Tons of them do it....and will continue to do so until someone takes them to court over it.
