Estimates are that roughly 43M able bodied, working age Americans are not currently in the labor force and receive some form of government assistance. 43,000,000. Should be able to replace the illegal immigrant labor pool with folks that have decided not to work and turn an expense item (government funded assistance) into an income item (taxes) on the government income statement. Anyway you slice it, labor costs in the construction industry are going up which means project costs for the end buyer are going up.
