game plots are bait. white oak trees are bait. persimmon trees are bait. cherokee indians planted game plots. ain't new. yeah, pouring corn out of a bag is easier, but otherwise no different.

"otherwise no different" Show me a food plot, a white oak tree, a persimmon tree, etc...you can plant today and start hunting immediately. Show me one of the previously mentioned items you can move on a daily basis. Acorns are temporary, as are persimmons. Food plots get eaten down, can be killed by extreme cold, etc. Folks can legally hunt any way they want, but let's not push a bunch of 100% false narratives. Corn is very different from fixed, live food sources.

I respectfully think that you are 100% wrong. It ain't the same. Some you mentioned are naturally occurring scenarios. Nothing natural about pouring corn out of a bag.

What does it matter if one occurs naturally, if itâs not instant, or if itâs dumped out of a bag? You are hunting over a food source regardless.
And everyone that fools with feeders will tell you itâs not instant. It takes a buck 2-3 years at least to get comfortable enough to eat from a spinner feeder. They usually have to be raised eating from it with their momma. Well thatâs a four year investment.
Deer wants food, you manipulate the environment to provide food, shoot deer when he comes to eat. It ainât rocket science guys.
Itâs all manipulating the deerâs environment to be able to kill him. Just be a someone manipulates it differently than you doesnât mean itâs not manipulation just the same.
Can you fertilize naturally occurring food sources and it still be a noble way to hunt?

I can say that without a doubt it has changed deer movement in my lowndes club. Deer move from corn pile to corn pile and bypass a lot of plots. I donât have solid proof (yet) but I would guess the best and most bucks that have been killed over last 2-3 seasons were on or near corn. I donât put out corn at that club but there are folks that put out well over a ton each year.

Baiting is live grocery shopping. Drop it, spill it / put in piles makes us nonhunters but rather shooters. Any pretending my statement as not being true is at best laughable.
The advantage of being disabled and spending days sitting from dawn to dusk sure does open ones eyes.

I've hunted my farm my entire life. I've owned it for 30 yrs. My deer have dedicated travel routes. Always have. Same scrape lines and rub lines every year. Neighbors had to cut some timber this summer and it moved the travel routes about 40 yrds further in to my property but, you can still set your watch by them. For 15 yrs, I hunted out of the same tree. Had to move to the tree next to it several years ago. In the last few years, I added a greenfield and a couple more stands and, a nice shooting house. Killed deer every year from the beginning. Some years more than others. My Son has killed deer every yr since he was old enough to hunt, he's 28.. My wife kills one every now and then. We killed a damn pile of them before bait and we've killed them since baiting has been legal. I feed 12 months. Trough and gravity. Feeders are travel route adjacent. They feed and then continue on down the trail. There are 2 shooting lanes. That's where 95% are taken. If they ban baiting/supplemental feeding tomorrow, I'll pull the feeders and next year I'll get in one of those stands and kill deer. I guess you could say that habit control has played a role. We have bedding areas, a pond in the woods, and a creek. We hunt it very small. We don't go in the bedding area. One of us has been in a stand every Wednesday afternoon, Saturday Afternoon, Sunday morning and Sunday afternoon that it wasn't storming this season. I'm not sure how many sits that is? But, deer have been seen every single sit. We've had a great season. Still need to kill about 5 more does. I'm going to go kill one here in about an hour. My son is still hunting his 3rd buck. He's passed up a couple that I might have shot.

We use to use dogs to Manipulate deer movement pretty dang successfully! What a bunch of bass-turds our geandfathers were for doing such a thang!! đ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł If yall were around then on a sports forum - thats what u would be saying đ¤Łđ¤Ł
I think baiting has helped see deer more - i also think it has helped good deer be more nocturnal but i could be wrong. I just like to hunt! Loved it in the dog days - loved it pre corn and still lov it today. TX and other big time deer states hav done it for years. Miraculously they still around doing same thing đ amd i still got mature that are dang hard to kill. I may be the only lucky guy left đ¤Łđ¤Ł
For what ever reason my deer are hitting the grass way more now - makes it cheaper!! Jokingly i want to ask if that makes me a bettr hunter since corn not ading - đ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł
Bitch - complain - be miserable - i gonna go enjoy a hunt - blessed to still be able to go. Be nice not to feed corn - but i gonna roll with it and do several things next year to allow me to feed way less and enjoy heck out of it either way
Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self We need prayer for our country now more than ever

Oh you got to use a drip torch to kill big deer??? I remember when you used to have to wait on lightening to start a fire. This line cracked me up for some reason.

I get less big bucks on camera, but have a way higher chance of killing a big one that finally shows up on camera these days. And with so much bait out before it was even legal I couldnât imagine having to go back. Cell cameras are the problem. Itâs gotten so easy to go shoot the 2.5 year old that has came out three evenings in a row. I would be willing to go back if the fines were so steep people couldnât risk to bait

We don't really need to lobby for anymore things or rules. It ain't ever made half of the people happy whatever rule changes they make. I see deer about 3/4 of my hunts you don't have to shoot them
