Don't think that's the plumbers problem Nope. However, if it got cold enough inside to freeze and bust that tank and that's all the damage , he got off light. Check the throat , above where it sits on the on the wax seal . I always heard they'd freeze and bust down inside there too. That one was lack of interior heat. Dang I can’t sitting on a cold pot. Put a heater in that bathroom Hunting camp maybe? If so, keep some potable antifreeze handy, like you'd use in a camper.
