At work we have a “see something, say something” policy with safety. Speak up when you see a dangerous issue. This is one.
I teach my kids to always use a flashlight going in and out of the woods in the dark, especially crossing a rr track or road. Orange does basically zero in the dark. I don’t even think about my orange leaving the stand, I focus on shining my light in directions where I think someone could actually be sitting or walking. If a Gamewarden was waiting at my truck, he’d see my flashlight hundreds of yards before he ever knew if I had orange on or not. After or before legal hunting light a flashlight should suffice, period. In my house I mandate it. Technically all hunters would be safer with that same rule. Just a fact.
