Small 6 just crossed the pasture. According to my camera the field behind the house has the usual group of does on it with a spike chasing them

I saw a sho nuff goodun about 4:15. I believe it was a deer we haven't had a pic of since bow season. He was just strolling the creek bottom . Saw 6 small does, a spike, and watched a nice 8 for about 30 minutes. I was on doe patrol but none of the bigger does showed up before dark.

Saw the 8 I’ve been after behind the house but too thick to shoot through, just knew he would come in the field with all the does but never did.

Saw a nubbin and small doe - saw small messed up rack 8 late. I need to put a goodun on the ground. Last 3 weeks of season getting way busier with commitments that it was supposed to be!!

Saw 7 does a spike and a basket 8. Leaving I had a helluva good 8 I’m my headlights for 2 minutes in my hayfield. He’s a good 16” inside spread that I’ve gotten 2 pics of. Don’t know that I’ve ever been that tempted to shoot one. Watched him through binos from the truck at 60 yards until he eased off into the woods. 1st time I’ve had my heart rate up this year. Maybe the deer hunting powers that be will reward me….
