I.m wanting to sell some of my firearms. Problem is where i am at near Savannah Ga there are no good options for advertising. Whats involved in selling and possibly shipping a gun if a face tp face cant be arranged. Would you avoid it what precautions need to be taken. We are moving back to the Oxford area in 3 years but I want to sell sooner than later Any advise appreciated.

Firearm Purchases and Sales - READ THIS FIRST!Post them up on here or set up a gunbroker or armslist acct (there may be GA specific firearms forums that you can post to; you'd have to do a google/yahoo search)...if someone not in GA buys from you, you would have to ship to an FFL in purchaser's state. Just be aware that some FFLs will only accepts shipments from other FFLs. May even be able to put them up in a local gun shop for them to sell on consignment

This is a great suggestion. I've been steadily sending mine on down the line this way. Its safe, no risk, no shipping, store handles the paperwork and transfer. Buyer doesn't even know who the seller is. Just have to be patient. I bring one in, leave it, then don't bring another one until that one is gone. Has worked out very well for everyone.

Be aware that FedEx and UPS will no ,longer accept a firearm for shipment from an individual; will only accept from an FFL. USPS will accept a long gun from an individual; no hand guns.
