I think you are correct Pwyse. Too many WRs running wide open all over the field on short and intermediate routes all season, for him to have been tipping every passing or run play. Bama's backs also averaged right at 5 yds a carry too. So no, I dont think his foot position was a tell. You're 100% correct, tape from dozens of angles. Coaches look for that stuff, especially when the offense is having the problems that Bama's did all year with sustaining drives. Open WRs and 5 yd carry averages dont happen when defenses know what is coming.

Also, go back and watch Milroe's games and especially his bad ones, and put a stop watch on him in the pocket. Avg time for an NFL caliber QB from snap, to making a decision, and getting the ball in the air is 2.65-2.85 sec with the slowest being around 3.1 and there arent but a few that are over 3 and that's probably because they have the line to afford them the luxury of the additional time. Let's just say that Millie seems to hold the ball just a wee bit longer than that on any play that is not a single read, designed quick throw like a quick slant, screen or hot route dump off. He's simply too slow in processing what he sees and too indecisive. If the ball is supposed to be out at 2.6 to 3.0 but and he holds it for even an extra second, let alone sometimes two or three extra while he's looking all around trying to decide, the line is having to block equally good athletes for sometimes double the normal required amount of time to execute the play/throw. So yes, that too will make the line look overtly bad because when that happens. The line is then being asked to do more than normally required and you see the pocket collapsing, the QB having to take off, or the line having to hold to protect him, or he gets sacked. It's definitely on both parties. Yes the oline sucked often this year and the defense was on Milroe in a flash some plays, but on others Milroe had the time and didnt get it done. Yes Milroe probably lost his confidence (happens easy when you are not a very good decision maker or accurate throwing QB to start with) but he had serious trouble finding open WRs and completing passes to wide open receivers, even when he had 4-6 sec to stand back and throw which also happened quite a bit all year too. The blame goes to both the line and the QB because neither was very good. Both sucked miserably at times.

Doesnt really matter because he's gone, which IMO, is a good thing for Bama's offense and future. Bill O called exactly what was going to happen when he was the OC, 2 seasons before this past one, and with his experience and resume, I'd venture to say he probably knows just a little bit about what he is coaching and seeing in a QB. Can someone else in the NFL fix all his problems and bring him to the level of excellence his ridiculous athletic assets will allow? He has the speed, physical attributes and body type to be the best ever, but like I've said many times, the greatest athletes on the field will play QB in HS and dominate everyone, but they do not normally translate to great QBs once they leave the HS level of play and the talent pool, at every other position on the field, increases too. That's when the accurate, super intelligent guys rise to the top. Football IQ, processing speed, footwork, pocket presence, release speed and accuracy, all matter way more at the QB position than how fast someone can run and athletic you are, once you get out of high school.
