Milroe did not play great at times. He played really well at times. His play was driven by the o line’s success. This is how it goes on most teams. Most fans just don’t like to watch the part of football where the ball isn’t.

Agreed and I think Milroe lost some confidence having to run for his life on most pass plays. He just might be another Bo Nix in a different environment but only time will tell.


Some players have the ability to turn bad games around. Things happen beyond their control and they find a way to rise above it. Milroe isn’t that kind of player. He needs confidence to play well. He needs to be able to trust those guys up front. When they play well up front he settles in and gets comfortable and plays well. When they don’t, he don’t. PLENTY of great players are wired that way. He lost confidence in their ability to run block as well. He and the offensive coaches also had no confidence that the defense was going to win on 3rd down and get off the field. This affects their offensive mind set and play calling.
