Long story

My paw paw ray was a firefighter in Montgomery and he died in the line of duty when I was a little feller. We never got to hunt together but there's nothing more in this world I'd want than to spend an afternoon in a stand with him. This year at Thanksgiving my Uncle Jimbo Ray brought me my pawpaws rifle and I couldn't have been happier if someone gave me a brick of gold. Uncle Jimbo taught me a lot about deer hunting and more about what it took to be a man. He could be tough on you but a lot of times that's what we need. I made it a mission to kill a racked buck with it and I didn't think there would be a more fitting place to do it than on paw paw Beadlescomb land in billingsley. I practiced enough with those iron sights to feel comfortable being able to put a good clean shot on a deer with that rifle. It all came together this morning at 8am. I've killed a a lot of deer and some pretty big deer in my life but I don't know that any of them will ever mean as much to me as this little 7 point does. I'd like to say I was tough and didn't get emotional after the shot but that would be a lie. I couldn't help but feel my grandpa's were looking down on me with pride. That's what huntings really all about to me good times with friends and good memories
